Battery Replacement CR2032

Has anyone had luck in removing the switch panel to replace the small battery without damaging the cover

1. Checked out the My LTV site however could not remove the cover as detailed in the video
2. I broke the clips when removing
3. The dealer used a screw driver and instead placed a large dent in the cover when removing
