LTV installed Remote Keyless Entry Not Working on 2019 Unity Coach Door

2019 Unity Corner Bed - keyless entry for coach door only  has not worked at times over the years. Have solved problems once by cleaning door contacts but now coach entry door will not unlock or lock even though  sprinter doors work fine.  Have checked batteries, cleaned coach door connections and taken door handle apart to see if there were any obvious issues there ( ie - wires not connected to door lock) .  Does not seem to be much info on the internet except a few comments of doors not working and then working again which I have experienced.

I had the same problem with my 2017 FX. Did the same things you mentioned. I ended up buying & installing a new door lock. I purchased it from Bauer Products for $300 plus tax & shipping.

Thanks for the reply.  Not keen on having two remotes.  Was hoping LTV would have come up with a fix for this problem that seems to have happened to a number of customers.

I had the same problem on my 2022. Some times the key fob would work and other times it wouldn't. Here's what I did to solve the problem: On bottom hinge side of door there is a contact plate on the jamb side and two spring loaded contact points located in the door. Installation from the factory did not line these up correctly; in addition the wires that connected to the spring loaded contact points in the door were not crimped correctly to the spades and the wire eventually pulled out and key fob didn't work at all anymore. LTV sent me the switch kit under warranty. I  crimped on the wire in the door to a new spade connector and plugged it into the spring loaded contact. Everything works fine now.

Just to be clear the switch kit LTV sent you is located on the inside of the door behind the white alum panel beside the door lock? Correct ?

To replace that piece just have to remove the white alum plate, on the inside of the door,  beside the door lock  then remove the two wires and three screws that hold that unit in place  and connect the new plunger style unit (switch kit)  that pushes and pulls  the door lock which it is located next to.

Kirk, The LTV part I am referring to is located at the bottom of the door opposite the door jamb when closed. I never replaced anything up near the lock. The power to activate the locking mechanism near the door handle comes after the contact points at the bottom of the door. The wire to my contact points had come apart due to faulty installation at the factory.

Did your Bauer lock work out? If so, which one did you order? Looking for keyless entry options for a 2019MB. Thanks.

My coach remote door lock did not work or sometimes would work as I have noted in this post.  After checking that the door contacts where clean, aligned and connected (they are located at the bottom of the coach door on the inside) and making sure the fuses were ok and batteries charged ..  I finally ordered a new "puller/plunger" from LTV.  This plunger is located  behind a white plate on the inside of the door beside the door lock plate.  It pushes or pulls the door lock open and closed. It can be removed by taking out the three screws in the thin aluminum plate that holds it new to the door lock. It has two wires that connect to a feed from the bottom of the door and a hole that accepts the hook that attaches to the door lock.  The wires connect and disconnect easily behind the white alum cover on the door.  Simply remove the old plunger, hook the new plunger to the door lock hook and connect the two wires and mount the plunger with the three screws removed earlier and your new plunger is installed.  This solved my problem. Part cost was around $50 and is called an actuator 12 V Linear for EXt. Dr. Mercedes. part 112-5935 for my 2019 Unity.
Was a frustrating problem as the door would work sometimes and then other times it did not.  When I tried the lock this spring it would try to move the lock if I helped it or you could hear a buzzing sound when sitting inside on the door step and pushing the remote.  You can check that the wires are connected on your plunger before ordering a new part.
