MB Sprinter Running Lights

Our 2015 Unity seems to have running lights. They do not come on. The MB Sprinter manual instructions indicates that there is a method to turn the lights off or on by using the buttons on the steering wheel. Naturally, there doesn't appear to be a "lighting" section on my display. Either LTV didn't buy a version of the Sprinter that has that control, or the running lights (they are there, I can see them!) are not hooked up. Any thoughts? We did take the Unity on a 3000 mile trip to Maine with no significant squawks. Only bad thing was that after a very heavy rain in South Carolina, the ABS light came on and the cruise control failed. A visit to a shop  in MA that works on MBs showed that a speed sensor failed, which was the reason for the ABS and cruise control to quit. I couldn't get parts so I drove on and somewhere in northern Massachusetts the light went out and everything started working again. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

there should be a recall for the speed sensor that you can get done at an MB dealer. Mine was done as the same time as the recall for the diesel exhaust recall.

cbaarch is correct. I received the recall about the emissions, and asked about the speed sensors. I'm getting new rear speed sensors at  the same time MB is doing the emissions. By coincidence, my ABS light came on again yesterday, so my trip to the shop is timely.

I have a 2013 U24MB on the Mercedes 3500 chassis. My running lights on and off switch is part of the dash display directly above the steering column,  which showns the time, fuel level, gear you're in, othere things.

The switch for that is part of the on-screen menu, where you can select things like trip reset, time until next maintenance, setting the vehicle clock, and other functions. There are buttons directly on the face of the dash, either side of the little screen, NOT on the steering wheel. The buttons on the left take you through the different submenus. The buttons on the right change the values of the submenu you're looking at.

When you get to the submenu that shows running light status, the icon is a little lamp with rays of light coming out of it, viewed from the side. The display also says "on" or "off", and the buttons on the right will toggle between those.

When your running lights are on, it will not only say "on" on that display, but you will see that headlamp icon in green on your dials. There is no indication when they are off.
