Wonder RTB garage door issues

Has anyone had any issues.  My doors would not latch on the top end and ended up removing the struts to close the door.  Has anyone solved this issue or found a reason causing this problem. Thanks

Both of my door hinges have been problematic. The first one was last year about this time and was fixed by my dealer under warranty. The second door has now failed is the same manor and a warranty claim has been filed. I've disconnected the struts at the lower attachment point and only use them to hold the door open, disconnecting them before closing. This seems to keep the hinge in place. I have a theory about the reason for the failure, but more research is needed.

Thanks.  What is your theory at this point?  Leisure travel is suspecting that the rubber is stretching and needs to be replaced. How did your dealer fix the issue and what is your theory?

The hinge has to be replaced, not a small job as it's held into the coach channel with pop rivets. Both failures happened after the door was open in the direct sun for hours as I was working on bike mounts etc. My guess is the sun beating down on the extended strut heated it up, increasing the internal gas pressure. When I closed the door, the increased pressure was more outward "push" on the hinge than it was designed for, as the door started it's arc. Just a guess.

My problem occurred in hot weather however I did not have my garage doors open in my case.  I will further discuss with Leisure Travel if they have determined a cause and preventable measure for this issue. I’ll let you know what they say.

The door is finally fixed.  Appears that the rubber on my brand new unit had already failed. It was replaced, however could not get an assessment from Leisure on why this occurred and whether the other hinge should also get replaced.  Will have Leisure make that assessment when I visit them in Manitoba

With my door the problem was in the latch and an expert from locksmith toronto has helped me fixing the problem.

I can confirm now that the door issue is a design/manufacturing issue. I was told that when the door is open and subject to the suns rays, the rubber will stretch and will cause issues with the door

This guy is a troll. In every one of his previous posts his solution is a locksmith and a link to a locksmith website.  He also trolls other sites.

It sounds like you’re experiencing trouble with the latching mechanism on your doors, which could stem from issues with advanced lock mechanisms or alignment problems in the door struts. Sometimes, a faulty latch or a misalignment in the lock assembly can cause doors not to close properly. A professional locksmith with experience in advanced lock mechanisms may be able to assess the root of the issue, ensuring smooth operation and identifying any component adjustments or replacements needed.
