2022 Unity cabinetry quality

Hello!  Anyone fortunate to be the proud Owner of a new 2022 Unity built upon the ‘21 Mercedes cutaway chassis?  Wondering if you are pleased with the - how Dean describes them - “solid wood” cabinets (wood veneered thick plywood) . . . as well as the supposedly “fully optioned” Mercedes Benz chassis, which I’ve been told the primary reason the price went up soooo much for 2022 . . . your comments will be appreciated!  Enjoy the journey 😎

When you are almost 2 years in back orders i guess any excuse to raise the prices like everyone else. LTV is still by far the best and reasonable.

I have a 2016 - the cabinets are plywood;  so that is nothing new.  Calling plywood solid wood is definitely marketing.
The finish layers and the trim pieces on the edges on ours is still holding pretty good and we do not do well with keeping things nice)-:
These days they are lucky to get chassis to get their builds done so with the demand and MB unable to keep up worldwide supply it is just a given that prices will be going up.  everyone is raising price. You just have to go grocery shopping to see that.

The new cabinet colours Natural Rift & Cashmere are definitely made of lighter quality wood. After seeing them in person when we ordered our 2022 we opted for the heavier Maple

Thanks for the response D&B, exactly the guidance I was looking for.  We too have made Maple our selection.  Where were you able to view the four cabinet wood materials all at one time?  When did you order and what have you been quoted for lead-time?  We are in our 16th month of waiting . . .
On a separate note, when selecting Earth as our UltraLeather, we were told "no longer available", and advised "Pebble" is the substitute (although not yet talked about on the LTV website which continues to show 2020 units in the Pictures gallery).  Based upon the sample our Dealer shared with us comparing it to Earth, the color is very similar, however the pattern is different . . . Pebble is textured like the "Fog" ultraleather option.  8)

I have a 2018 Unity TB on a 2017 MB chassis.

The cabinets all around the back and other places, the white faced ones anyway, have a weird latch.  It is 8 inches wide and connects to a "hook" that is an inch wide.  They are awkward, pinch my fingers, and several of them need adjustment to unlatch without a good deal of force.

I removed the worst one rather than adjust it.  I had no problems with it, so I removed the rest of them.  I did not replace them.  The springs on the hinges keep the doors closed.  Driving around central Florida has not caused a problem, but boon docking on BLM land might.  If I replace them, it will be with an uncomplicated magnetic catch.

Comments?

We have a 2021 Unity RL with the white-faced top cabinets I have been happy overall with all of our cabinets. However, though I think the white makes the interior brighter, I wish I would have ordered the grey.  We often travel to areas with red dust (like canyon lands) and even brown dirt which shows more on the white. They do seem to clean relatively easily, but long term, grey would have been better.

It's not just "thick plywood".
