Microwave Hot - Shuts Down

2020 Unity 24MB 2019 MB Chassis. (Every option but the ladder)

Microwave got very hot after defrosting Salisbury Streak, Green Beans, Mashed Potato’s, and Sweat Potato’s. It was on a total of 25 minutes. It was off 2-3 minutes between courses.  Food was for two people. And then it shut off. Completely dead. No display, nothing.

I was running on generator. No other electrical appliances were on.

Batteries 100%

There must be a auto reset thermal fuse on it as it worked the next day. It did get hot after 5 minutes of use but did not shut down this time.

This is a microwave convection oven. How can it cook something at 400F, like it’s supposed to if it trips a resettable thermal fuse when used as a microwave?  I don’t think this is a safe application/installation of this appliance. There is no cooling fan for the appliance. No where to go with the excess heat.

Anyone else having this opportunity?  What don’t I understand?  What am I doing wrong?

Your thoughts and comments welcomed.

The problem is very poor air circulation in the cabinet. If you remove the microwave you may be able to improve the clearance of the foil backed insulation around the unit.
