Power outage

We just returned from our first outing this year and not a good start. The power went out 3-4 times when the AC was on. The first time I had a single unit induction plate on for a few minutes then off while AC was running. I started it again for a minute and then AC went off. No breakers were tripped, there was power from the campground outlet and the blue light was on on the surge protector and main plug. We waited a bit and disconnected and started over again and it ran for a couple of hours then off. I tried another electrical post and nothing. Thank goodness it cooled off during the night. The next day no power.

Has anyone had any issues like this? I do have an appointment with the RV dealer for July 8th which is 500 miles from my home. We are into our 2nd year on the warranty. We have 2019 RTB Wonder unit.

Your surge will let the power thru, if no problems at the post, like hi voltage, low, miss wired etc.  if you have power in coach then post is not a problem.
Sounds you may have overloaded the breaker panel which will kick off a breaker, strange nothing tripped.
Next I would suspect your inverter/charger, is it the Magnum?  I think it also has a breaker but not sure.  It may need to be reset, I think info is in their manual.  The inverter is supposed to pass thru 120 volts but if too high a demand it may trip and/ or shut off.
Let me know if this helps.

Yes, it is a Magnum inverter.

Are the breakers in the box under the seat behind the driver's seat? If so, nothing was tripped there. Since I can't plug it in at our house, I will have to wait until July 8th when the dealer can see me in Sioux Falls, SD. They also have to fix, again, the sensor in the gray  water holding tank.  So, I will pack up one dog and drive the 500 miles for a quick "vacation".

Your Magnum could be the problem..
Make sure the green LED is on, means inverter has power.
You have a Input circuit breaker, make sure it is on.
Also a Output Circuit Breaker, make sure it is on.
I don’t know your Magnum location, but normally it is very close to the batteries.
If above does not help, next would be soft reset, if no, then a hard reset.  Instructions are in the owners manual.

Hi,

The inverter is located under the DS bed. The only circuit breakers I know about are the ones under the dining area seat on the DS. The green light is on in the display box over the entry door. When I talked to the warranty girl at the dealership she said they had to pull an inverter out of a unit and replace it, so this might be an indication of something more than breakers. I have the appointment on the 8th.

Thank you for all the information you have provided. I am not too good with electrical stuff and was hoping this might be some minor problem.  Also hope they can fix the gray water sensor this time. I'll post the results in a couple of weeks.

The LED light and circuit breakers I mentioned are on the inverter, not remote location.

Me again!

Yes, there is a green light on the inverter box under the bed. But, since the unit is still under warranty I am not going to mess with it.

I was hoping someone had a similar problem and it might only be the extension cord for the electricity. It may still only be a problem with the cord at the motorhome end. Hopefully they can solve the problem in one day. The sensor in the gray tank has been an ongoing problem since day 1. At least the black tank sensor is finally working....at least I will know when I am full of s@^# and not have to wait for the red light on the flush panel in the bathroom. When that happens we can't flush the toilet.

I have POWER!  It was 2 broken screws in the plug/outlet on the side of the unit. How that guy at Schaaps found it so fast is a wonder. It was fixed rather quickly along with a couple other items. He was able to take the metal shower hose out of the top holder so the shower head reaches the feet much easier. I can also get down closer to the dogs if need be.

It was a hot couple of nights on the road but so glad it was a rather minor issue.
