Have you tried to see if the standard house batteries will power the heater all night?

Have not been anywhere cold enough for all night.
This January in Quartzsite will be a test.  Let you know.

We are traveling south from New England soon and I am sure first part of trip it will be tested.  Hope to get out to Quartzsite one of these years..I wonder if there is a group of Leisure Van owners that meet there?

It is not a traveler group.  Written by a LTV owner who organized the first gathering 3 years ago.  Not sponsored by any club, like many get togethers in Q.  No cost just hang out with other like minded LTV owners.  Exchange info, ideas, fixes and maybe parts, share meals, bonfires, etc. come and go when you want, but pot luck dinners are on Sat and Wed.
