Topic: Jack Stands for 2020 Unity MB (Read 774 times) previous topic - next topic

I need to get under my 2020 Unity MB on a creeper to search for a shorted wire in the Tank Monitor system and I've been advised not to count on the EQ Systems levelers when going underneath. So I'm looking at jack stands; I hope to raise the rear of the coach using the leveling system and lower it onto a pair of jack stands. May questions are:
1. Is a pair of jack stands rated for 6 tons (as a pair) sufficient?
2. Does anyone recommend particular jack stands? I've seen good and bad reviews for major brands on Amazon.
3. Where on the LTV should jack stands be placed? Anywhere along chassis rails or should they be in particular location?
4. Will my plan to use the EQ Systems levelers to raise up the rear work or will it not go high enough to get the jack stands underneath?
