2019 Serenity Tail Light Problem

When the rear driver side tail light stopped working (no problem with the break light or blinker light) I attempted to get to the light and replace it. I removed the panel (which is next to the water filter) and then undid the wing nut that holds the tail light/brake light housing in place. Then I removed moe wing nuts that held the rear light assembly and bevel in place. At this point I should have been able to remove the tail light/break light assembly from the back of the van so that I could access the tail light. But the assembly would not come out easily and I did not want to risk breaking the bevel. Has anyone done this before? Any suggestions for safe removal of the assembly?

Did you ever get this fixed.  I had to get into the rear light on that side and it was tough.  There is one fastener that was kind of hidden.  I cleaned up the bulb/socket and smeared grease on the bayonet of the new bulb. I did the same to the other two bulbs.  Then I put a bead of RTV sealant on both sides of the gasket and got the assembly back in.  It has been almost 7 years and I have no problems.  That third brake light.... that is another story.  I am on number 4 (including the factory one).
