I have a 2022 Unity IB, I've already removed the lithium batteries for winter storage. I've noticed that the Zamp Controller screen is flashing all day, letting me know that it does not detect the batteries. Should I worry about the screen being on all the time during the winter? Or should I disconnect the two wires coming into it from the solar panels? it is easy to access. Thanks.

Assuming you have it parked outside and not under a street light, it's only "on" during daylight.  I store mine in a covered parking spot. During the day it flashes. I don't disconnect the leads from the solar panels. Been doing it for years.

BTW, what brand Lithium batteries? Lithionics have built-in protection to prevent charging when the batteries are too cold. I leave them installed all winter.

Hi RonS, I ended up disconnecting the red wire (with fuse) from the panels to the solar controller, and it does not display anymore. The controller is supposed to have a memory function, and if it fails next spring when I reconnect the wires and reinstall the Dragonfly LifePO4 batteries, its supposed to be easy to reselect the proper setting. I just did not like the idea of the controller screen flashing all winter. As a side note, last winter the temps dropped down to -30*c and there was a ton of snow on the solar panels. The solar controller displayed a (601) error code and the battery heater light was not on anymore. I figured the batteries were drained because of no juice coming in, and so the error code. At $5000.00 for these two batteries I decided to just bring them in this winter and not let the cold damage them any further.
