Dometic RMD-10 on a 2021 Unity not working

My Dometic fridge stoped working... It seems to start up - freezer begins to cool down, but the refrigerator never gets cold. After about 8 hours the whole process stops and the freezer seems to shut down. The controls all work fine. The same process takes place for 12V/120V/Propane.

I have seen the occasional "01" error (see pic), but only occasionally and historically this cleared and everything worked fine. The manual states the "01" error is a bad thermistor. Problem is Dometic RMD-10 thermistors, by part number (289078612) are no where to be found, and upon calling Dometic they are out of stock and 70 days out (although the women at Dometic was quite helpful).

I have seen some other Dometic thermistors available and they look similar, but not exactly the same as mine. Wondering if they would work? Note that the RMD-10 is a "new generation absorption refrigerator" and might use a different kind of thermistor?

I have also seen some rheostat looking things designed to allow one to fine tune the temp at the thermistor level as opposed to the electronic control. Wonder if that would work?

Any thoughts would be appreciated. A $3 part has sidelined my $160K rig for the summer.

I would pull out the Dometic & temporarily stick in there a residential refer and run it off the inverter or shore and go traveling.  Refer maybe costs  $400.

I have the same problem. Did you find any solution? I located the part in Germany.
