The sliding step on our 2011 Unity has stopped sliding in and out each time the door opens and closes, It extends when the door opens but only retracts when the ignition is turned on. Have I done something wrong?

 in a Wonder, there is a switch by the entry door that is for camping mode on/off. The step stays out when this switch is on. Your step retracts when engine is on as a safety feature.
