Hi everyone! I'm new to the forum and currently not a Wonder owner. We've been traveling for the last 5 years with a 2013 Scamp 5th wheel and seriously considering upgrading a 2018-19 Wonder 24MB. We plan on test driving one at a dealer in the next month, but have 1 major concern. We've always had transportation after parking our 5th wheel, my understanding is we won't be able to tow a vehicle with the 3.0 liter diesel w/3000# towing capacity so I'm curious to know how everyone does traveling without. Is the 24'-9" length fairly easy to street park or find a parking lot for when going into a town to see the sites? Or maybe some are renting a car or using Uber when reaching a destination? Any replies would be greatly appreciated! Really hope we can make a LTV work for us.

You can tow with a Wonder, up to 3000 lbs, many small cars are under that. Like a Honda Fit, about 2500 lbs, prior to 2014 you can tow the automatic 4 wheels down,
Others like Smart, Mini Cooper, just check which one is towable all wheels down. You don’t want the extra weight of dollies or trailers.

I have a Libero which supposedly can tow 5000 lbs, but haven’t tried that yet. Pain in butt not having a toad. I don’t really have much issue with finding parking, other than with garages at concerts. So usually park at park and ride and take train to downtown Charlotte. Problem is with state parks, etc. u have to unplug everything and drive to get food or take with u, and lots of walking for ice or scenic areas of parks if u don’t have a bicycle or some other mode of transportation. Rig gets so hot and takes a while to cool back down after u re-hookup. Would be wonderful to have transportation and leave rig hooked up.
We downsized to a Wonder from a 38' class A that we also towed a car. We also had the same concerns and decided not to tow anything and have not run into any problems. Typically we will take the Wonder into town or bus, Uber. We have talked about elec bikes but not sure.
I travel with 2 e-bikes, we love them in state parks and trails. I’m looking at buying a Wonder RTB and hauling these instead of a toad.
No Rtb but we have a FTB and a toad. FYI you could put the bikes on your toad and have it all!
We are not bike riders, but I was a ebike owner some 8 years ago when they were about 50 lbs. not fun lifting up on a bike rack.
The toad does not cause us ay hardship, hook and unhook, about 5 min each. We get there, set up camp get in toad and go exploring. No limitations to distances, or what can we bring back, no back pack!
Extra fuel usage, maybe 1 mpg, we get 15.5 mpg all the time.
Works for us, but not for everyone.
You also asked about options, we found our 2019 WFTB at a dealer with most everything on it, except Sat dish. Have found that the options are useful
If I was ordering I would leave off the solar, you can buy much better equipment and for less money. You want ridged panels,not flexible glued down.
You probably want the 2000 watt inverter, with it you can run the micro for a limited time.

No problem not having a Toad - We currently own a 2013 Unity TB & spend one to two months in Florida in the Winter - Never a problem, don't need a Toad. Takes a few minutes to unhook at RV Park, & we're on our way. Shopping, restaurants, never been a problem for us finding parking. That is the beauty of Leisure Travel Vans!
We ordered a 2021 Wonder RL last month, so will be getting our 2013 Unity for sale in the next month or so.
