Title: 2018 Unity Chassis Battery
Post by: CDN-in-CLT on April 10, 2023, 03:50:36 pm
I'd really appreciate any help you can offer. Last August, I had a NAPA Legend Premium AGM Battery 36 Months Free Replacement BCI No. 49 850 A installed to replace a dead battery in my 2018 Unity. Can someone please confirm if this battery is sufficient to run the various control/electrical systems for the vehicle. It's been suggested that only a Mercedes chassis battery can be installed. Thanks for your assistance.

NO you do not need a Mercedes battery.  MB does not make batteries.
the original battery in my 2016 that is still going strong is a Varta.

Factory sprinter battery is a group 49 with 900CCA. I would try to match that.
