Title: Best sewer hose??
Post by: jerryc1976 on March 29, 2018, 05:39:59 pm
I believe the new LTVs come with a hose but not the required fittings to connect to the drain?

Also, it doesn’t appear there’s room to store hoses with the built-in nozzle like this?

RV Sewer Storage System | Drain Master (http://drainmaster.com/rv/rv-sewer-hose-storage-system?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIn8ifs76S2gIVU21-Ch1WBwGaEAAYAiAAEgK6A_D_BwE)

Am I wrong and what have others found successful?

Thanks

Our Unity has the macerator so we mostly just use that.  That said we do have the standard sewer hose "tube" and hose for backup.  Our "tube" seems to be just big enough in diameter to hold the hose w/o any fittings.

We went to camping world and looked at a bunch of hoses with pre-assembled fittings and could not find one that would fit, there may be one out there but we could not find it.  So we carry the "E-Z " turn on fittings and a set of quick clamps (the type you can find at woodworking stores for dust collection hoses).  The quick clamps are not as tight as the screw/worm type but with the turn on fittings they are plenty good enough, never had a leak with that setup (and used that with our previous class A coach for many years as well).
