Title: Extended Protection
Post by: Crystal's Palace on November 22, 2019, 08:20:17 pm
Just thought I would throw this out there, are the Extended protection plans offered when purchasing a new LTV worth it or are they over kill?

If you purchased it, have you used it and are they as claimed or are they just a act in frustration when trying to make a claim.

Are you just satisfied with the standard manufacturer’s warranty? Or have you also purchased an extended plan and why?

I bought used with the remaining LTV warranty.  I would not buy any extended warranty.  While there may be problems, most items inside are covered by it's manufacturer - not LTV.  Think Truma, AC, furnace, refrigerator, etc.  All other items are potentially DIY repairs.  If you don't DIY, a 1+ hours of dealer time for each issue would have to have a lot of issues for the extended warranty to pay off.  Now, on the Ford - I'm still on that too and have not seen an offer for extended warranty.  I may consider that depending on price and time/miles extended.  Not sure yet.
